Ainsworth Rose has been performing the music of his homeland throughout the Midwest for over ten years.
This self-taught musician/entertainer plays two keyboards with built-in drum machines which are complimented by professional audio equipments. His expert manipulation of these instruments along with his electrifying singing produces the most exotic steel band and reggae performance.
He has a very extensive repertoire, comprising hundreds of reggae, calypso, soca, Hawaiian and American songs. The 2000 release of his debut cd: “Sweet Jamaica” has become an instant hit at his performances.
Ainsworth is a very flexible and perceptive entertainer. His ability to read and please his audience is phenomenal. He can play light steel drum sounds or delicate acoustic melodies for background music at cocktail reception or during dinner. After dinner, he can turn on the party lights, turn up the volume, pump up the energy and have the crowd dancing up a storm.
Spontaneous audience participation is the highlight of this one-an act.
His sunny, funny personality is very contagious. He’ll have his audience in the island vibe shouting: “Yeh Mon!!”, singing: “Who let The Dogs Out?” and “Hot Hot Hot”, doing the “Limbo”, line-dancing to the “Electric Slide” and the “Cha Cha Slide”, doing the “Dollar Wine” and having the greatest time.
You can also see him performing live at restaurants and many department stores throughout Chicago: Carson Pirie Scott, Marshall Fields, Nordstrom, Target, etc.
